We went to bed on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 and woke up on Thursday, February 3, 2011 – losing one day! We crossed the international date line during the night. Talked Fred into joining me for the bridge classes and that was fun. Executive Chef Fabien and Ass’t Food and Beverage Manager, Luis, did a cooking demonstration just before lunch. They did a salmon dish with a cauliflower couscous…they were a good team and had a lot of fun with each other as they cooked.
Lunch on the deck as usual, still hot, but that is to be expected in this part of the world. Social bridge at 2:00pm then a nap. We have reservations at Prime 7 for the next two nights in a row.
Dinner at Prime 7 was good. I had the prime rib and Fred had the Dover sole, Everything was done perfectly. They are serving the side dishes differently now. Instead of bringing a larger serving for the table, they serve each person a smaller serving of what they ordered. So instead of sharing the sides, as in the past, you need to order what you want, even if it is 2 or 3 dishes. That works pretty good, once you remember you need to order for yourself.
Tonights entertainment is an illusionist and we decided to skip it. The next morning several people said he was very good.
