Day 21 – February 4 – Nukualofa, Tonga

Since Fred had to go to the doctor last night to have his foot looked at, we ended up staying on the ship for the day.  He is retaining fluid in this feet as well as having problems with his asthma.  The doctor have him medicine for both, but he needs to stay off of the foot for the day.

Since we have been to Tonga twice before, and it is a pretty small place with not a lot of do or see, an extra ship day wasn’t so bad.  With most people off the ship, we had the pool deck to ourselves.

Dinner again at Prime 7, but this time just the two of us.  It was the first time since the trip began that we actually ate by ourselves.  That was nice for a change.  Fred didn’t want to go to the show and he was back in the room by 8:30pm.  Jan wanted to see the show so she went down to the Voyager Lounge for a nightcap to wait for the show…and she was glad she did.

The show was by Dale Kirstien, who starred in the original production on Broadway, of The Phantom of the Opera.   She put on a very good show and the theatre was almost full.  She sang for more than one hour and all of it was good.
