Day 54 – March 10 – At Sea on the way to Manila, Philippines

We have a little more sea movement today as we have left the shelter of the Indonesian Islands and are crossing the straight towards the Philippines so we have strong winds from the northeast.   Waves are just wind waves and we don’t have a strong swell.

Skies were cloudy in the morning but it is clearing and if the wind dies down, it should be a nice day.   Lunch on the deck is a Philippine Special lunch.  At breakfast this morning, one of the waiters in La Veranda, Adam, asked Jan if she was coming back to the Truck Stop Dinner so he could have his dance partner back.

Duplicate bridge wasn’t too bad this afternoon.  We thought we did better than we ended up ranking but at least only one mistake today.

We met the LCT group in Observation Lounge for cocktails and joined a group for dinner with Peggy, Jerry, Kathy and Steve.   After dinner we finally made it to the Platters for the evening entertainment.  Fred even got up and danced twice with Jan…to slow tunes…but it was a lot of fun
